Final Customer Service Roundtable of the season set for next Tuesday: Member utilities will come together to exchange ideas and information at one more Customer Service Roundtable next week. The seventh and final gathering of the year is being held at Waunakee Utilities on Tuesday, April 26. The session is free to attend and lunch is provided. Register for next week’s Overhead School in Green Bay: MEUW is holding an Overhead Rubber Gloving School on April 28-29 at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) in Green Bay. The workshop offers targeted training for lineworkers of all experience levels. Participants will rotate through a series of workstations to safely practice different procedures and receive feedback. The cost to attend is $255 per person, with discounts available for multiple attendees from the same utility. Registration information is available here. 92nd Annual Conference is less than a month away: Public power leaders from across the state will gather in downtown Madison for MEUW’s 92nd Annual Conference in May. The event features a number of special guest speakers, a variety of breakout sessions, numerous opportunities to network, and the chance to celebrate our municipal utilities’ achievements. Official conference events take place May 11-13, with visits to the State Capitol and meetings with state legislators planned for Thursday, May 12. This year’s conference kicks off with a visit and picnic lunch at the host utility (Waunakee) beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednedsday, May 11. Sign up now for upcoming Management Training Program: Managing Personnel Matters is the subject for the next session in MEUW’s Management Training Program – scheduled as an in-person training on Wednesday, June 1, in Wisconsin Dells. The one-day session will be led by Attorney Steve Zach of Boardman Clark law firm. Among the topics to be covered are hiring and selection, discipline, discrimination, and harassment.
