90th Annual Conference in Delavan this week: More than 100 people have registered to attend the MEUW Annual Conference taking place at the Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan May 15 to 17. Registration check-in will be available from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, and again from 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Member Inquiry:  The Village of Wonewoc wants to hear from MEUW members that currently accept credit or debit cards for payment of utility bills. Final Customer Service Roundtable in Kaukauna on Tuesday, May 21: The last of the Customer Service Roundtable sessions will take place next week. Each of the sessions held so far has generated robust discussion and a valuable exchange of ideas among member utilities. You can register for the session at Kaukauna Utilities here. The session, which is free and includes lunch, begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes after lunch by about 1:30 p.m.


Executive Committee Meeting Notes:  The Executive Committee of MEUW’s Board of Directors held a special meeting on May 7. The draft minutes can be accessed here.

May 22 is Municipal Government and Utility Day at Capitol:  All MEUW members are encouraged to participate in the Municipal Lobby Day on Wednesday, May 22. In partnership with the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and other trade associations, the gathering offers the opportunity to interact face-to-face with legislators in the state Capitol and at lunch. There is no cost to participate. The day begins at 9 a.m. and includes a legislative briefing before walking to the Capitol for legislative meetings. The day ends with lunch at Monona Terrace. Next session in Management Training Program set for June 5:  Effective skills for leadership and team building is the subject of the next session in MEUW’s Management Training Program – scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, in Marshfield.

The day-long session will explore the foundation of successful leadership, including a deep dive into the dynamics of leadership and how individuals can develop their team members regardless of where they are on their professional paths. For more information or to register, click here.
